Most awkward video of the year reveals phoniness of ‘fun’ photos


The perfect follow-up video to my smartphone photo madness rant of a couple of days ago suddenly appeared today, and it features people who thought a still photo was being taken — but it was actually video. It’s by far the most awkward video I’ve seen this year.

This helps prove my point that people are wasting their lives away taking pictures with their always-handy smartphones rather than actually living. Notice how these people are completely missing all the fun they’d like you to think they’re having. Continue reading

Cutest Halloween costume: adorable LED-illuminated stick figure comes to life

This has got to be the cutest video I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks to LED technology and the creativity of Royce Hutain, his 22-month-old daughter is wearing the most original Halloween costume of the year.

The video is made even cuter with the vocalizations of the little girl, along with the encouragement of her mother as she runs toward us — she’s an adorable illuminated stick figure, come to life. Continue reading

Controversial poster urges end to racist team images

As the furor heats up over the racist team image of the Washington Redskins, this poster by the National Congress of American Indians blasted across Twitter on Thursday.

The poster with its own racist images of New York Jews, San Francisco Chinamen and, of course, the Cleveland Indians was an ad created for the NCAI by advertising firm Devito/verdi in 2001. Its simple message resonates even more today. Continue reading
